Biography

Shangru Li is a Ph.D. student at the State Key Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feeding, International Calf and Heifer Organization, College of Animal Science and Technology, China Agricultural University. She is currently on a one-year exchange with the Animal Nutrition group at ETH Zurich until March 2026. Her research primarily focuses on the nitrogen footprint of dairy farming and the sustainability of dairy production, and she is also interested in dairy cow nutrition and big data mining. During her time at ETH, she will further explore the environmental footprint of different dairy farming models and strategies for reducing carbon and nitrogen emissions.
